Ghost Garden by Catriona Crehan (Wentworth 500)

I really fell in love with this image when I saw it, but admittedly was a little disappointed when I looked around at Catriona Crehan (fontdiva on instagram, blankquilting.com) and saw that she does digital media and includes “AI”. Everything AI gives me foreboding and feels untrustworthy! But it is really an adorable image, so […]

Agatha’s Apothecary by Helen Black (WerkShoppe 1000)

Another from my backlog (it will embarrassing to ultimately search all the posts with the word “backlog” — I went a little nuts in 2023-2024 in terms of buying puzzles!). This is from WerkShoppe, “Agatha’s Apothecary”, by Helen Black (Advocate-Art.com). The description says it’s “foil”, which I’m not quite sure what that means, but there […]

Dia de los Muertos by Candy Mayer (Hennessy 1000)

Loved this “Dia de los Muertos” puzzle from Hennessy Puzzles (art by Candy Mayer). I love Hennessy’s whole collection and would happily do all of them! But I continue to work my way through a backlog. Still, this one is a keeper.

The Witching Hour, Liberty

Vintage witch (that has a pleasant mouth-feel) by Liberty, with themed whimsies. I really liked the pumpkin …. Via Hoefnagel. I haven’t been able to identify an actual artist for this. Dia de Muertos, Ceaco

Ash and I did a fun 500-piece “Dia de Muertos” cat puzzle, by Ceaco, which were pleased to discover is actually headquartered in Massachusetts. Correspondence to Holyoke! Made in Newton! Cool. However, this puzzle doesn’t seem to be available directly from the Ceaco website; just from various retailers like amazon, target, wal-mart, etc.

Monsters Night Out, SunsOut

This puzzle was haaaard. So many grassy pieces and so many leafy pieces and so haaaaaaaard. And then there was a piece missing! I have looked all over and can’t find it, but I sort of vaguely remember picking up a piece in the sunroom, that I thought belonged to another puzzle … but where […]

Spooky Halloween – Nautilus

Finished the “Spooky Halloween” puzzle by Nautilus. Art by Finchley Paper Arts / HVC Licensing Group (was this AI-generated, I wonder?). Nautilus doesn’t specify the cut designer. Anyway, I enjoyed the whimsies, and the subject matter, and the overall work. (Okay — Even though I enjoyed it, actually I was a little bothered that the […]
