Vintage witch (that has a pleasant mouth-feel) by Liberty, with themed whimsies. I really liked the pumpkin ….
Via Hoefnagel.
I haven’t been able to identify an actual artist for this. Googling around, I found various listings for this image, described as an “I.S.L. series” postcard #552 (notice the #552 at bottom left corner of the image). One ebay seller described it thusly:
This vintage Halloween postcard from the I.S.L. Series 552 features an embossed design with a woman holding a broom, a Jack O Lantern, a black cat, and a starry night background. It is a printed (lithograph) postcard from 1909, with a divided back typical of the era. The postcard is a single unit, part of a set of one, and includes a stamp. It is an original piece in good condition …
I can’t even figure out what “I.S.L. series” is …. but I enjoyed browsing around some vintage postcard websites.
