January 2025 — Jay Watson’s crew, Greg & Larry — mostly back bathroom work:
- back bathroom sink vanity installed (meant expanding the bump-out wall)
- trim consistent with the original part of the house added to replace the temporary crappy trim that was added in 2012
- bathroom repainted
- back shower grouting & re-caulking to fix leaking into basement crawl space
- plaster repaired around chimney in living room & in top of coat & bathroom closet (damage from chimney spalling some years back; the chimney was fixed but the cosmetic plaster work was delayed until we did the plaster work in the bathroom)
- installed & stained boards for kitchen lighting
March 2025 — Bosch heat pump repaired by installer, Surner, March 12. (Warranty repair)
April 2025 – Town of Amherst installed a new water meter, April 2. (Basement media room access panel.)
May 2025 — Jay Watson’s crew did this work, mostly Greg, some Larry.
- Back bathroom — Toto bidet toilet seat finished setting up; cabinet door openings switched
- Living room — Lowered paintings, hung ketuba on fireplace
- Back bedroom — access port to bathtub controls; hung curtain rod on double north windows
- Kitchen — fixed cabinet door by fridge (replaced hinges); added under-counter lights & light shade; added overhead lights; added shelves to open cabinets
- Basement — closed up gaps to media room ceiling
- Office & Laundry hallway doors — added cat door cut-outs
- Back door hose outlet — fixed broken attachment
- Ash’s bedroom — hung curtain rod on double north windows (picture above)
- Sunroom — screen doors screening replaced w/ more durable aluminum screening
- Investigating the doorbell — needs an electrician
