This image looks really cool & quite distinct — in a small size. But in the large size of the actual puzzle, there was a lot more muddiness & difficulty seeing things. It wasn’t pixellated, but it was a lot harder to see things — however, it all did come together ultimately.
Also, I noted that the laser-cut marks were really visible on the image side — you can see it a little in the fourth picture here; the image looks like it melted a little on the edges where the laser cutting happened.
The pieces included a lot of two-piece flowers, frogs, and mushrooms — some identical, some left-right switched, some in various sizes. Interesting.
I was not happy to see the Artistry Puzzles website say “artist unknown” for this image; I did some googling and found it cited to Sophie Grandval, “Dandelions” (1990) –
Artistry puzzles locally made in Wheat Ridge Colorado. Tangerine Tapestry is a 320 piece wooden puzzle with unique puzzle pieces that relate to the image. Do not forget to turn it over to see the story on the back. 11.75″ x 17.75″
