“Autumn Aspen”, puzzle from Bewilderness; 326 piece version, with geometric pieces; 11×16″. Art by Laura McElfresh. So pretty!
Fairly challenging given the low-key color palette, with a good bit of repetition of color blocks. Started with the large block teal in the middle bottom and the right. The squared pieces are fun for me; you can’t rely on tiny details about the knobs, so it’s all about color, and the grid-like counts. I wonder if the puzzle cut designer (not credited on the website, sadly) uses a program / algorithm for this? I wonder if they are unique to each puzzle? Also, I thought it would be very easy to accidentally have swastikas, and appreciated that they likely weed those out, and are attentive to avoiding that shape.
