Wow, I loved this art — “Moonrise” by Manami Lingerfelt (website). The Nautilus puzzle is 360 pieces, and just under a square foot. Lots of fun whimsies, one and two-pieced, and the two-pieces were beautifully done. (The owl, below, with one of the pieces an internally folded wing, just makes me happy….) Constellations! Moths! Galaxies and shooting stars! Plus some other fun animals.
The puzzle itself was pleasureable to do — I started by sorting out all the teal waves and assembling that row, then the rest of the waves … then started working on the dark starry sky, and last, the beautifully colored moon. A pleasurable few hours.
Quality note: My partner noticed one piece where the design was curling up from the wood. Nautilus advised me to try to glue it back or they could replace it … My partner also noticed that Artifact’s puzzles are a bit thicker, and she appreciates that thickness.
