Apro Vision, “Moon Castle”

Via Hoefnagel, I got this laser-cut 152-piece (“A4 size”) puzzle from “Apro Vision”, which appears to be one of the randomly generated names that Chinese laser cutters create to sell on Amazon. It’s a pretty cool and tricky image — many little doors in various sizes, plus some gears, and trees in various teacups (surrealist steampunk?). The cut was also trickier than I expected, with a fair number of non-unique connections. The connectors were a sort of curlicue, which also made it trickier to solve. The whimsies were cute (although as usual for this kind of laser-cutter, there are a lot of “cute” whimsies that are not particularly connected to theme, thrown in with the others). On the minus side, thin wood, lots of push fit connections, and the art is probably AI. There was so much push-fit, in fact, that I didn’t even try to flip it over.
