The Big Apple, Zen

Ash and I knocked out another Zen Puzzle, this one, “The Big Apple“. Ash and I recognized 4 out of 5 whimsies, but such is our financial innocence that we were like, “why is there a cow in New York City?” “Financial innocence” sounds nicer (& judgy of other people instead of judgy of ourselves) than “financial illiteracy”. If we have “illiteracy” and “innumeracy” shouldn’t we have words to denote other specific areas of ignorance? ilpecunias? ilscientias?

The Zen Puzzle website describes the cow whimsy as the “bull of Wall Street”, which goes to show that they made this puzzle before Trump crashed the markets in a fit of stupidity, malevolence, or greed, or a frothing mix of all three. I do wish that Zen would have shared the artist’s name, which is not on the puzzle or on the website, and honestly I’m too tired from <waves hands> everything to go and ask.
