Enjoyed this Lighthouse Puzzles mini-puzzle, which was sent to me free in hopes I would review it. The artist, Adolfo Valle, is Michigan-based, as is Lighthouse. (While I love lighthouses, does Michigan … have them? I know there are lots of lakes including Lake Michigan, and yes, the Great Lakes are big enough for tides, and coasts, and so forth … but lighthouses?) At any rate, the box was nice & I love that they included a little card about the artist. Yes, please! Puzzle-makers, more of this, please!
The puzzle itself was fun — the subject of course is right up my alley (resist the pun — resist the — ) okay, right up my owley. It’s a nice wood, and very clean — no scorch marks! Which I really appreciate. They do printing on wood, which I like, when it’s real art and quality wood, which this is. It’s a mini-puzzle (64 pieces) so I didn’t get a full sense of whimsies & larger cuts, but I did appreciate the shaped edges, and overall, enjoyed the puzzling, and will add Lighthouse to my shopping list!
