A fun Liberty graphic art puzzle, “Dry Martini“, via Hoefnagel. I thought it might be a little difficult, with large areas of dark color, but the background actually has dark red blobs, on black, so the large swath is broken up quite a bit. I still ended up with a pile of dark colored pieces, but they came together easily enough because of the highly distinctive piece cutting. As usual, with Liberty, lots of fun human figurals and music whimsies. I enjoyed the people sitting at the cocktail tables, but my favorite is the upright bass player.
The artist, Yulia Drobova, lives in Germany, and has some fun collage and graphic artworks. I really loved her illustrations for an Uzbekistan school calendar!
