Coincidentally, just after doing the Paris Map, I got a Hoefnagel package with another VladStudio illustration! This also came with one of the lovely little Hoefnagel surprises — Mardi Gras beads from the previous puzzler! Awww….
Anyway, the black/white/blue color scheme made this puzzle a bit more challenging than one would expect. Plus, the protrusions meant that those “edge” pieces weren’t actually edge pieces, and created a fair amount of additional confusion for puzzle-solving fun. Thanks!
I liked the whimsies, and the overall “night owl” pun. (I admit that I thought the owls were reading books until I saw the Artifact description of this as an “internet cafe”. On closer look, yeah, I guess the “books” are glowing, so yeah, probably laptops. Oh well!
Description from Artifact:
No tags for this post. This is a 204 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle of VladStudio’s “pixel-art” digital painting of an internet cafe for owls. This puzzle has many nocturnal-animal-shaped whimsy pieces (puzzle design by Maria Berg). The puzzle has a straight edge with a bit of a surprise, and coupled with the fact that it’s all blue-black, this puzzles is a little more challenging than you might expect for 204 pieces. Like all our puzzles, the pieces are laser-cut from 1/4″ thick wood. Packed in a small box with magnetic clasp. Made in USA.
- 204 pieces
