Andy Kehoe “Inner Mystic: Wondrous Journey”

This beautiful puzzle proved fairly challenging — not least, because there were so many false matches among the puzzle pieces. I had appreciated the curvier innie-outie pieces, but while the shapes are pleasing, there were too many that mis-matched! Grr.

Anyway, the real draw was the image, which was gorgeous — all of Kehoe’s paintings in this “Inner Mystic” series are pretty, but this was (IMO) far and away the best. I really love looking at this image …. the colors and patterns made for a fun challenge. After the border, I targeted the distinct large red blotch, then worked on the yellow and the walkers. Filling in the rest of the colorful galaxy and clouds was actually easier than the trees, which I finished last. Fun.
