Alfredo Arraguin “Jaguars”

This puzzle was … so hard. As it turns out, it was hard (in part) because it was a diptych — two sides of a puzzle — but they had printed the left side twice. So, one of the tricks of the puzzle is that the right-side puzzle mirrors the left-side puzzle in piece shape. But, because of the misprint, it was two left-sides prints, with a left and right side carving– one with the left-to-right puzzle shapes, and one with the right-to-left puzzle shapes. I thought I was going nuts …. And, there was a missing piece!

Artifact was great, and sent me the (correct and right) half. I will admit that I was so broken by the experience that I had to set it aside for a while. So, this puzzle is and is NOT completed.

I should also say that it’s one of the most beautiful puzzles I’ve done, with a lot of whimsies, and the puzzle design was extraordinary with a couple of fun twists.

Artifact Puzzles, 505 pieces. “This is a 505 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle of Seattle artist Alfredo Arreguin’s diptych painting (so the puzzle is in two panels). It has a unique Mayan-themed puzzle design by Tara Flannery and Maria Berg with round knob connectors. Despite the straight edge, it is a really hard puzzle, but not one of our hardest. All our puzzles are laser-cut from 1/4″ wood and made in USA. Packaged in our 3″ pine wood box. 505 pieces. 12″ x 19″ (total diptych size) laser-cut wooden jigsaw puzzle. Made in USA”
