The old one overheated, and the glass exploded! That was scary. July 15, a simple meal of salmon, green beans, and rice, herewith immortalized as the oven glass explosion meal.
The new one is a Samsung NE58F9710WS Flex Duo Slide-In Range (glass-top), list $2299. It was on sale for $1699 at Sears, with takeaway and installation, and Michele did further bargaining, down to $1450.99, plus a $409.99 5-year home MPA plan, plus a $29.99 3-prong electrical cable, haul away fee. It was installed 2014/08/20.
Also got a new $30 3-prong electrical cable. Tile under stove dirty but in good shape. So was the wall. Haul away fee $15 (they recycled, we’re told). Total $1905.97.
