- 2019/06/29 Sat – Shumway Roofing came in — got estimate — recommendation to do chimney first.
- 2019/07/08 M – Alan Shumway (ShumwayRoofing.com) called back — did a core sample this morning. Reference to Chris Domian / Domian Masonry 413-687-2866. Called him & he will visit 7/9 Tu for inspection.
- Sept 2019 – after chimney done (Domian Masonry) contacted Shumway & signed contract; work to begin April/May 2020

- 2019/07/09 Tu – Chris Domian (domianmasonry@gmail.com) @ http://domianmasonry.com Domian Masonry came by; said the bricks are “spalling” — flaking — observed that it had been partially rebuilt in the past (front left corner, to my eyes, maybe also a little on front right corner) … and agreed that the opening should be higher to increase airflow in chimney

- 2019/09/03 Tu – Domian Masonry starting to replace chimney — took the whole chimney down today … finished around 9/10. Total $6750.

- 2019/04/15 M – called Rocky @ Problem Wildlife for bat proofing. I met with Rocky from Problem Wildlife. We paid him $1200 out of $2400 for bat exclusion … date to be done later. He’ll get the bat hotel hung up for us & will do brown metal to make the exclusions look good.
- 4/19 Fri – house appointment w/ Rocky to discuss

- 5/18 Sat – 101 2019 Rocky from Problem Wildlife with his minion Danny came — they checked the chimney & other places for bats, then did a lot of mouse proofing, along with recommendations for mouseproofing carport storage cabinet & mudroom doors …

- 2019/07/22 – Housecleaners broke one of the glass plates of the back bathroom sink light fixture. Wrote to https://varaluz.com Varaluz about Varaluz Illusion. See Back bathroom renovation (2012). (This fixture is GREEN – recycled light fixture over sink. varaluz illusion. recycled metal, recycled glass, low-VOC finishing.)

Surner – original quote $7560.87 included a new thermostat; $3780.44 deposit paid Nov. 21; balance needs to have thermostat subtracted b/c we continued to keep the Nest Gen 3 … Dec 11 2019 – new heat pump / Surner – $7560 + $587 electrical DeBenedetto
