cody’s is closing

Cody’s Books on Telegraph Avenue is closing, after 43 years. The UC Berkeley campus area will never be the same.

The 4th St. Berkeley & San Francisco stores will remain open.

I am inexpressibly saddened by this news.

… update 5/11: in san francisco, valencia street books is also closing and A Clean Well-Lighted Place for Books also recently announced it’s closing.
