"Wherein I Defend Ann Coulter from Charges of Plagiarism (Pro Bono)"

That's all, like, y'know, cool, about the pro bono stuff? (Bono rocks! He's saving Africa!!) Still. With money from "books" and so on, she can probably afford legal representation that can spell.

All best nonetheless.

Thanks for the link, but I don't think I was being "sexist" or "patronizing" just because I correctly predicted that the eventual class-action named plaintiff would be a woman. Plaintiffs' lawyers know which archetype will create the most sympathy, and there was just no way that the class action was going to have a father as the face of the suit. I wish I had anticipated the clever touch of making the named plaintiff an 85-year-old grandmother, but that's a different story. I'm not sure what you mean by "the class action shtick is unnecessary," since it was the point of the post.

GTA: San Andreas has a plot element that's a violent homosexual lovers' quarrel, ending in the murder of the jilting lover. I pointed it out for the same reason that I pointed out gambling and "profanity-laced rap music": not because I think there's something wrong with homosexuality, but because the majority of people who believed the sex scene is problematic would feel the same way about the presence of homosexuality in the game. Overlawyered has consistently spoken out against laws that discriminate against gays.

Best,
